MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Qualified Red Seal artisan and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
• Project Management Certification would be advantageous.
• Knowledgeable of South African codes and regulations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Good knowledge of High-Complexity Project Management.
• Ability to travel.
• Valid Passport.
• Drivers Licence: Code 8 (Mandatory).

EXPERIENCE

• 3 - 5 years of experience managing R1-R500,000 projects in line with the companies offerings.
• Able to effectively communicate with engineering and estimating departments, contractors, suppliers, and customers.
• Very knowledgeable in mechanical products and systems. Automated equipment and robotic systems knowledge would be advantageous.
• Proficient in reading P&ID as well as mechanical engineering drawings.
• Experienced with Quality systems, i.e., ISO 9001:2015
• Knowledge of Odoo is advantageous.

DUTIES

• Professional and detailed understanding of project management.
  o Receive project information from the sales team.
  o Read and interpret the details and requirements for the project execution.

  o Understand who the customer is and what their standard requirements are.
  o Develop timing plans and schedules for critical phases of the project lifecycle.
  o Coordinate contract amendments and additions.
  o Review costing and develop invoice structure for the duration of the project.
  o Plan the final phase of the project, including final commissioning, the start of the warranty and customer sign-off.
  o Maintains high ethical standards of conduct for all activities.
• Sub-contractor selection and appointment.
  o Source the correct sub-contractors for the project.
  o Detailed resource allocation and sub-contractor selection to match the budget.
• Site and Staff Management.
  o Manage site establishment, i.e.: setting up site offices, internet, and office furniture.
  o Ensure all staff are inducted.
  o Ensure all staff have the correct PPE.
  o Manage staff attendance and accurate timekeeping records.
  o Manage staff queries and complaints and report same to HR.
  o Exceptional housekeeping at all times.
  o Zero tolerance for transgressions on environmental regulations of the site.
• Quality Control.
  o Ensure that all work is always performed to the highest level of quality at all times.
  o Must maintain quality as well as tolerances as stipulated for all tasks assigned to him/her and complete this in the allotted time space.
  o Understand and use our ISO Quality Management System.
• Confidentiality.
• Health and Safety.
• Reporting and documentation.
  o Assist in the development of written information as required for operating manuals and other internal/external documentation.
  o Manage Site Diaries and Timing Plans.
  o Customer-related documentation as required."
